FORD MACH-E REVEAL

My first agency experience was as a freelancing storyboard artist. The project was for none other than Ford’s Mach-E reveal to the world. I’ll be honest, when Ford mentioned an all-electric SUV Mustang, I thought it was the stupidest idea ever. Corporate suicide really. Perhaps I’m a bit biased when I say this now having worked on the project, but its a badass car!

The car was revealed on November 17, 2019. My birthday. I was hoping that Ford was in the mood to give the coolest birthday gift ever to make the reveal so much more sweeter. But I was too optimistic!

Needless to say, here’s some storyboards I did for the event. Live, AR, and CGI segments included. Live segments were hosted by actor Idris Elba. Various engineers hosted the AR segments. And the CGI runway “showdown” scenes were storyboarded for third party CGI animators. As the Mach-E speeds down the runway it approaches the hangar doors for the international reveal moment.
